Types of Water Supply

Definition

On Demand

Direct supply that is available on demand from the point of water supply.
 

Ordinary Supply (on demand)

Supply of water to residential properties for ordinary household use.
 

Extraordinary Supply (on demand)

Supply of water for all other use apart from ordinary household use. 

Examples are:

  • Domestic Spa or Swimming Pool
  • Domestic Fixed Garden Irrigation
  • Commercial and Industrial Use
  • Home Based Industry
  • Fire Protection Systems
  • Temporary or Rural/Out of District Supplies
