The Early Bird Gets the Worm...

Well in this case early birds get to park in the Elizabeth Street Parking Building all day for just $7.

So if you work in the city centre, make the most of our summer early bird special. Just make sure you are in before 9:30am and stay all day to be eligible for the discount.

Parking Building $1 Mondays

Park for up to three hours in either of the city's parking buildings on Monday’s and pay no more than $1.

The parking buildings are convenient, easy to use and safe. The Spring Street parking building provides easy access to Rialto Cinemas, Grey Street, Willow Street and Devonport Road businesses and shops.

The Elizabeth Street parking building provides easy access to Bay City Cinemas, First Avenue, Elizabeth Street, Grey Street and Devonport Road businesses and shops.

Council has two parking buildings, one on the corner of Durham and Spring Streets and the other on Elizabeth Street. Both the parking buildings are managed by CarePark Ltd on behalf of the Council.

Spring Street

The Spring Street parking building is on the corner of Durham Street and Spring Street. Vehicle access is from Durham Street.

This parking building has 325 parking spaces. Seventy three are available to be leased and 252 are available for public parking.

The first three floors are time restricted to P180 and the remaining two floors are for all day parking.

Elizabeth Street

The Elizabeth Street parking building is on Elizabeth Street. Vehicle access is from Elizabeth Street or 1st Avenue.

This parking building has 503 parking spaces. One hundred are available to be leased and 403 are available for public parking.

The first three floors are time restricted to P180 and the remaining two floors are for all day parking.

Hours of Operation

Both the Elizabeth Street and Durham Street parking buildings have the same opening hours.

These are:

• 7.00am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday
• 8.30am - 5.00pm Saturday

If your car is locked in a parking building after hours you need to ring ADT on 0800 427 6687. They will come and open the gate at a cost of $30.

Parking Loyalty Cards

The parking loyalty cards work just like a coffee card. Visit either of our parking buildings.  Pay for 2+ hours parking and collect a stamp from the attendant. Collect 10 stamps and get your 11th visit free.

Parking Loyalty Cards are available from the attendants in the parking buildings.
