The Tauranga street-use bylaw stipulates where signs in Tauranga can be displayed.  The bylaw covers:

  • siting of signs
  • signs on parked vehicles
  • real estate signs
  • election signs
  • signs – traffic safety
  • general requirements for construction, size and maintenance of signs
  • fixed community billboards and temporary signs

Running a community event? Need to promote it?

Council has recently streamlined the process for booking roadside signs to promote community events.  Signs can be booked at any time on a first come, first served, basis.

Remember to make your booking early as spaces for next year are filling fast.  Application forms and information sheets with details of costs and locations are available from our customer service centre on Willow Street, and Baycourt Theatre reception on Durham Street or you can download a form here (94kb pdf).
