About the Arataki Community Centre
A group of community representatives worked closely with Council during the development of the community centre. The Arataki Community Advisory Group (ACAG) was formed in 2009 following Council's decision to demolish the former Arataki Hall due to the poor condition of that building. The ACAG championed the need for their community to have a facility that would not only replace the Arataki Hall but would also provide a positive heart and focus for the area. They successfully pressed for Council to proceed with a new community centre project.
