The Tauranga City Population and Household Review reports allocate SmartGrowth population and household forecasts for Tauranga City. The forecasts have been allocated in 5 yearly intervals at the SmartGrowth Growth Management Area (GMA) sub-unit level and at Census Area Unit level from 2006 to 2051, and at statistical meshblock level from 2006 to 2031. The allocations differentiate between intensification, general intensification (infill) and Greenfield areas in the City.
The SmartGrowth Forecasts and their allocation have been reviewed three times (in 2007, 2010 and in 2011) since the release of the SmartGrowth Strategy in May 2004.
