Customer Service and Call Centre

The customer service centre (91 Willow Street) will close from 12 noon on Friday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Wednesday 4 January.   Call centre assistance will be available right through the holiday period by calling 07 577 7000.

Building Inspections

Building inspectors will be out and about until midday on Friday 23 December. They will resume booking inspections from Wednesday 4 January.

Libraries

Normal opening hours will apply in the run-up to Christmas. The following hours will apply over the holiday period.

Mobile Library Service

The mobile library will be off the road over Christmas (25 - 27 December) and New Year (1 - 3 January).

Pools

The Pound

Normal opening hours will apply in the run-up to Christmas. Over the holiday period the Pound will be open from 3.30pm to 4.30pm on: 

• Wednesday 28 - Friday 30 December 2011
• Wednesday 4 - Friday 6 January 2012

During the holiday period Pound fees can only be paid with cash. Please call 07 577 7000 to check the correct fee before going to the Pound to collect your dog. 
 
If you need to collect your dog from the Pound outside of the dates above please call 07 577 7000 to arrange an appointment.

Parking

The Spring Street and Elizabeth Street parking buildings will be closed from Sunday 25 - Tuesday 27 December 2011 and Sunday 1 - Tuesday 3 January 2012. Normal opening hours and charges apply for all other days.

Rubbish

Christmas Rubbish Collection

There are no changes to the normal weekly rubbish collection days over Christmas and New Year. Please have your pre-stickered black plastic rubbish bags at the kerb by 7.30am on your usual collection day. 
 
Please note that green plastic rubbish bags are for use in the Western Bay of Plenty District Council area and will not be collected in Tauranga City.

Transfer Stations

The transfer stations at Te Maunga and Maleme Streets will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. On 26, 27 December 2011 and 2, 3 January 2012, the transfer stations will be open from 9am to 5pm.
Normal operating hours will apply on other days.
 
Services:  
Transfer Station are general waste and greenwaste and free recycling for glass, plastic bottles, cans and paper/cardboard.

Village on 17th 

The Village grounds will be open daily from 8am to 10pm. The Village office open on weekdays, and information regarding opening hours of shops at the Village can be found on our website/Facebook. 

Venues and Events 

Baycourt Community and Arts Centre Ticket Sales Office will be closed from midday on Friday 23 December until 8.45am on Wednesday 4 January. Tickets are available online or by phone 0800 224 224. 
 
Baypark TicketDirect will be closed from 4pm on Thursday 22 December until 12 noon on Monday 9 January.
