Tauranga City Council has adopted its Elders' Strategy. One of the key actions identified in the strategy was the establishment of an Elders' Forum.
The vision of the strategy is that Tauranga is a city where people can age positively, elders are highly valued and recognised as an integral part of the community.
Twelve people were appointed to the Elders’ Forum, both individuals and representatives from organisations, and will be working with Elders in the community, to help us achieve this vision.
