Rain, Rain Go Away
Unfortunately if it is raining heavily on Sunday, our Children’s Day event will be cancelled. So if you wake up to a wet day please listen to Classic Hits on 95FM for cancellation notices.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane…?
The theme for our Children’s Day event this year is ‘home grown super heroes’. So let your imagination go wild and invent your own super hero.
Here are some ideas to help you create your best ever super hero outfit:
- An old towel or sheet can make a great super hero cape (just ask Mum first)
- You can make a super hero shield out of tinfoil and cardboard
- Make a mask out of some card and elastic – don’t forget to decorate it
- Use some old material, cellophane or tinfoil to make arm or leg coverings to wear over leggings.
- Don’t forget that lots of super heroes wear special super hero head gear. You could make one out of newspaper, card, an old hat or even material.
- Ask Mum or Dad if you can borrow one of their old t-shirts, add a belt and some super hero accessories like a mask, leggings and head gear.
- All super heroes need a great name so make sure you give your super hero a name that gives people a hint about what your super powers are.
Create a costume for your super hero, register on the day and be in to win some fabulous prizes courtesy of Classic Hits.
