Tauranga City Council works in partnership with many other agencies and organisations in a formal collaborative way.

There are joint strategies that we work on such as Tauranga Tomorrow and Smart Growth

Tauranga City Council is part of a company called BOPLASS. This company was set up by the eight local authorities in the Bay of Plenty region to foster collaboration between councils in the delivery of services, particularly back office or support services. The company has continued to look at the specific areas of collaboration identified in its Statement of Intent:

  • GIS (Geographic Information Services)
  • aerial photography
  • procurement
  • library management and information services
  • software support
  • after hours services
  • internal audit/probity
  • facilitation of regional broadband services.

Visit the BOPLASS website for more information.

Other organisations and networks that have service agreements with Tauranga City Council or who we work very closely with are as follows.
