Venues and Events enables a vibrant community to come together often to enjoy arts, culture, sport and leisure activities.  It has the following focus:

1. Managing and operating Baycourt Community and Arts Centre
     
2. Managing bookings for active and passive reserves, community halls (Elizabeth Street Community Centre, Waipuna Park Clubrooms and Cliff Road Clubrooms), public spaces and road side signage 
      
3. Providing event support including:
    
   • Hire of technical equipment and expertise
      
   • Ticketing of events in the Bay of Plenty region
      
   • Marketing of events

4. Event facilitation service - Tauranga City Council Venues and Events is an information hub for all event related information. We facilitate the development and delivery of safe and sustainable events in Tauranga to build a diverse and successful annual calendar of events 
    
5. Assists with event delivery of Council events, New Years Eve (including Tauranga city centre) and flagship events
